Commissioned to coincide with the Main Library's 50th anniversary in
2018, artist Nathan Coley found inspiration for his site-specific
installation from the archives of the Centre for Research Collections.
The rather ambiguous phrase is left open to interpretation. In the clip,
he discusses his process and inspiration from Ian Hamilton Finlay for
the text-based sculpture within the context of the building, its
history, contents, and function.
The feature is in discussion with Neil Lebeter, former Art Collections
Curator & Deputy Head of Museums at The University of Edinburgh.
