Summary points
- Repeated measures data = measurements taken repeatedly on same individuals (eg patients, animals)
- Groups need to be compared against between patient/animal variation
- Analysis at each time point leads: to multiple testing, can cause confusing results
- ANOVA / GLM may be used with care if data complete
- Mixed models suitable even if data incomplete
--- Assesses:
----- Overall group effect across time points
----- Group effect at each time point
----- Interaction between group and time
--- May fit a pattern of correlation between time points
--- Random coefficients model if interest lies with assessing time slope
