This short talk will discuss aspects of the recent strategic project at the University of Edinburgh to develop a vision for Near Future Teaching (https://www.nearfutureteaching.ed.ac.uk/). This project used co-design methods and futures thinking to work across the university, defining a set of values and aims broadly shared by its students and staff. The talk will focus specifically on the aim to build a ‘post-digital’ future in which a new way of understanding ‘blended’ is explored in order to design teaching which navigates the online and the on-campus in new ways.
