Young beekeepers use lab techniques to investigate parasites in their own bees at Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre. 

The pupils, from Kelso High School and Annan Academy, worked with Roslin Institute and Scottish Government (SASA) scientists over the course of one year to learn the molecular techniques needed to look for a parasite in their own bee colonies.
