Carol is a 3rd year PhD student in Speech Technology. Her research is focused on improving the intelligibility of speech playback, especially for users of hearing prosthetics. She is also keen on science communication, with the goal of tackling the stigma related to hearing impairment and the use of prosthetics.
In this video she explores the possibilities for future technologies, and how significant advancements could change the way prosthetics devices are perceived by society.
