for Design Research Brief 4: Finally First
We are living in a programming era. We are exposed to pixels, represented by the virtual.
We are translated through programs of codes, hidden behind lines of scripts that is called
'Shell'.
We are on the Internet, connected through invisible lines that makes the real selves invisible.
It is said that, in 2007, 1% of the world's population is connected through mobile phones. What is happening in 2017, and what should we do, as a graphic designer? My statement would be to break the shell. The shell that sets the basis for the programming world, that represents the perfect unified virtual world, and that separate our spirits from the real beautiful new world.
I would use movements of hands and objects to celebrate the imperfection inside the shells. And imperfection is beautiful (
Wabi-sabi). The electrical sounds is the virtual contexts that we live. The egg, representing the new-born, the immature, and the humanity inside me.
