Tom Davies, Global Recruitment Lead, AMICULUM and Ambit

Tom leads recruitment at AMICULUM, an international healthcare communications business with 14 offices worldwide, and is the founding member and lead of Ambit, a business specializing in career communications and recruitment for fast-growing life sciences SMEs.

Tom is a typical example of how careers do not necessarily follow a linear path. He grew up in and around advertising agencies, but graduated in Law, and after a brief stint in the legal sector started his recruitment career in asset management and investment banking at Edinburgh’s Core-Asset Consulting, before moving into healthcare communications and careers consultancy. Tom has won awards for talent innovation and has reviewed thousands of applications in his career so far, and has a passion for helping students to enhance their employability skills and career potential.

Owen Pape, Recruitment Technical Advisor, CGG

Owen studied geophysics at the University of Edinburgh graduating and joining CGG as an imaging geophysicist in 2006. Tom was successful in his application to CGG after learning the hard way from a couple of quite disastrous applications to other companies! In 2018 Owen went on to a secondment in graduate recruitment where he operates all aspects of the recruitment process.
