This case study explores the use of open resources to piece together personal histories of conscientious objectors to the First World War. It will be of interest to people who are interested in how to search for and find useful information for social histories, public engagement or citizenship.

Many of the research resources published by the University of Edinburgh will contribute to the resources held at NLS.
