Weekly
ratios of new cases and deaths for individual countries in the WHO
Africa region, and daily new cases and deaths for the region as a whole.
Weekly ratios are ratios of weekly sums, comparing the last 7 days to
the 7 days prior, and can be used to infer epidemic trajectory: a value
of less than 1 indicates the epidemic is in decline, 1 means constant
growth, more than 1 indicates exponential growth and 2 indicates a
doubling time of 7 days.
