Careers in the screen industries cover many different creative areas. From Film and TV, to VFX, animation and games, there’s a multitude of roles available to suit a wider range of skill sets and interests than you may realise. This session aims to give insight into the breadth of screen industry roles out there and share tips and advice about how to start a career within them.
Kate Efomi from Screen Skills will be on hand to set the scene, giving an overview of the screen industries in the UK and some of the skills in demand. We also have a small panel of speakers sharing insights into their experiences working in different areas such as music composition for film and games, and film & television editing, which should be helpful no matter what stage of career exploration you are at. So, whether you currently know nothing about the screen industries and want to find out more, or already have areas of interest in mind and are looking for advice about how to get started, come along to this session for top tips and inspiration.
