Footage of at least three of the Edinburgh College of Art Revel parties and preparation work by staff and students. Staff who have been identified are William Gillies, Eric Schlinksy, and Donald Moodie. The film starts in black and white showing classes in sculpture and drawing followed by preparations for the 1945 Revel. This changes to colour footage of the party. Later black and white footage of a Circus stunt is from 1936. It then changes back to colour for footage from 1946 and possibly another Revel year.
Filmmakers are thought to be James Gray RSW, who was Head of Art at Moray House College of Education, and William Geissler who was an art teacher at Moray House and part of the 1922 set of painters and friends with William Gillies.
