The Archives of Sexuality and Gender is one of the largest digital collections of primary source documents relating to the history and study of sex, sexuality, and gender. The series presents LGBTQ history and culture since 1940, sex and sexuality from the sixteenth to twentieth centuries, and activism and culture in Southern Africa and Australia during the twentieth century. Taken together, the archives represent more than 5 million pages of fully-searchable text.
This Dissertation and Thesis Festival session, recorded live in November 2023, looks at all 4 Archives of Sexuality & Gender databases that will enable you to explore and make new connections in subjects including LGBTQ history and activism, cultural studies, psychology, sociology, health, political science, policy studies, human rights and gender studies.
