IvaBerlin is in Wikipedia and also outside ;) Iva. I'm originally from Berlin, where I live and work also. I've been a reader for the last 15 years and now I'm editing since many years. The way to my WikiPedia (en:WP-site)
I work as a Wikiwoman and I´m an active Part of WomenEdit. For german reader: Hier geht´s zu meiner Seite bei WikiPedia.
AbstractI will tell how WomenEdit started as a monthly meeting for women and girls in Berlin. Since 2019, WomenEdit has also existed in another city, Erlangen. We continued our meetings despite Corona restrictions and had good experiences with virtual meetings. It works both virtually and with real physical meetings as a networking place for new and old Wikipedian women. I will be happy to present our experiences to start more meetings in other places at a Lightning Talk.
Session OutcomesThe listeners will understand that an offer for women and girls enriches the community. They will learn what conditions are useful to initiate such a meeting. They will learn the advantages and disadvantages of regular virtual Wikipedia meetings.
