This website is part of the project ‘Freedom to Believe: A Theatre in Education Project Exploring Caribbean Social and Religious Histories’, led by Diana Paton and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
This website is designed to act as a permanent resource for teachers, community educators, and Theatre-in-Education professionals to use with students and for young people to access directly themselves. The website when complete will include lesson plans, narrative biographies, images, and a project film. It is linked to a sister website, Caribbean Religious Trials, which holds a database of primary sources. It also builds on a previous website, Obeah Histories, which includes some additional resources including selected information on Caribbean legislation relating to religion and on representations of obeah.
We would love to hear from you with feedback on this site and information on how you have used it.
