Presented on 8th June 2021 as part of the Library Bitesize programme, the session provides a brief introduction to where to find citation metrics, how
numbers about re-use of publications can help you find more to read, whom to
read and where to publish. The session touches on metrics for research
assessment.
The aims of the session were:
- Where
to find citation metrics.
- How
they can be used in literature searching – “Snowballing”.
- How
they may inform decisions on where to publish.
- Where
to find Journal Impact Factors.
- Sources
of help on research assessment - re-use and impact.
