Prof Mike Parker (Ethox Centre, Oxford) explored some of the key ethical issues arising in biomedical research over the last decade or more based on his work with the Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium, as well as his ongoing involvement in the Gates Foundation Funded MalariaGen and in the high profile genomics in health initiative, Genome England. Also joining the discussion were Prof Graeme Laurie and Dr Gill Haddow to discuss their experiences with the UK Biobank and Generation Scotland, respectively.
