Pine’s Eye followed the story of
Pinocchio to chart a creative journey through subjects including latent
imagery, anthropomorphism, miracles and morality. Set within the
exhibitions of David Claerbout and Rachel Maclean at Talbot Rice
Gallery, this interdisciplinary evening event brought together
performance artists, poets and academics to offer a provocative series
of digressions related to contemporary image-making practice. From the
boy hidden within the block of wood to the wild debauchery of the Land
of Boobies, Pine’s Eye invited audiences to share this story of radical
self-transformation.
