Roundtable on Working Within the Academy as Feminists (A North-South Dialogue)
How has feminist knowledge influenced dominant thinking and transformed teaching and learning practices in Northern and Southern contexts? What does it mean to be a feminist or feminist ally in academia today? What are the possibilities and challenges given the neoliberal approaches to education and the rise of right-wing proto-fascist governments that we are currently witnessing? And what does counter-hegemonic, transnational, decolonial feminism look like in academic spaces? Are we actively engaging in our own classrooms with the global discourse on decolonising the curriculum? These were some of the questions that this roundtable of academics from India and Scotland, UK critically and reflexively engaged with to facilitate a wider dialogue on them with the audience.
