Scatter feeding

If you don’t have the resources to boy or make puzzle feeders then scatter feeding dogs is a great way to feed them. It allows them to forage naturally for the food. It can be made more challenging by adding leaves or log piles or blankets and hiding the food underneath. As they have to use their brain, their time, and their energy to find the food. It is completely natural and would be exactly what they would be doing if they were free-roaming dogs.
It must be stressed that dogs you feed in this manner are not overly hungry and are friends with each other and haven’t got a history of guarding foods or being aggressive, as you do not want fights breaking out.
