In this video, we introduce the 4 ‘R’s of a ‘trauma-sensitive’ approach to self care:
- Realising the ubiquity of traumatic experience.
- Recognising symptoms of nervous system dysregulation.
- Responding effectively.
- Preventing Retraumatisation.
We’ll also explore the Window of Tolerance, a basic model of nervous system arousal and regulation.
