This event will address inclusion and representation in the environmental movement. The climate crisis is arguably the most important issue of our time; how we respond to it will define a generation. From rising sea levels, loss of biodiversity, disruption of food production, and displacement of entire communities, the threat of climate change isn’t going away on its own.
What’s more, those who contribute the least to the impacts of climate change are customarily the worst affected, and often come from vulnerable groups of society. To address these problems, we need everyone at the table. Those who have not traditionally been included in the mainstream environmental movement must be enabled to have their voices heard. Is the sustainability sector doing enough to unite humanity to find solutions to the climate crisis? Join us to hear from an expert panel that will share unique perspectives on the successes and shortfalls of inclusion and representation in the environmental movement.
