Agenda
3:00: Welcome
3:10: Replacing the degree finders: what we learned from design sprints
Over the summer, the Prospective Student Web Content Team ran a series of design sprints (broadly following the Google Ventures methodology) to help inform what a future state for provision to prospective students might look like.
In this session, Neil Allison will give a brief overview of what a design sprint is and how they worked for the Team. He’ll also talk about what we learned along the way (both in terms of running sprints and in terms of the future provision for prospective students) and what comes next.
3:30: Design systems thinking – lessons and learnings from Design System Day 2021
Emma Horrell from the UX team is part of the project team building a new Design System for the University. The first ‘Design System Day’ run by Gov.uk was a great chance to learn from the team behind one of the world’s best design systems. She’ll share what she learned from the day and how it’s being applied within the University Design System project.
