Who should be prioritised for the Autumn 2022 COVID-19 booster vaccination doses in the UK?
In this soundbite, data analyst Utkarsh Agrawal (University of Oxford) summarises the key take home messages from a research paper recently published in The Lancet.
About the research
The paper's full title is: Severe COVID-19 outcomes post full vaccination of primary schedule and boosters: A meta-analysis of national prospective cohort studies of 30 million individuals in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
Here, as part of the Vaccine Breakthroughs Project, researchers analysed data from across all four UK nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) to investigate which groups of people were most likely to fall ill with server COVID-19 despite receiving their primary COVID-19 vaccinations and a booster.
