Wikimania is the annual conference celebrating Wikipedia and its sister free knowledge projects with conferences, discussions, meetups, training and a hackathon. Hundreds of volunteer editors come together to learn about and discuss projects, approaches and issues.

Wikimania was in Esino Lario, Province of Lecco, Lombardy Region, Italy, on June 22–23 (pre-conference), 24–26 (main conference) and 27–28 (post-conference), 2016.
