Wikipedia celebrates its 21st birthday on January 15th 2022. To mark the occasion, the Wikipedia Library is calling on information professionals & educators all round the world to add one reference to Wikipedia between Jan 15th and Feb 5th 2022 because any citation to a reliable source is a benefit to Wikipedia readers worldwide.
This video demonstrates where to find out about #1Lib1Ref, how to use the Citation Hunt tool to identify a random snippet on Wikipedia that needs a citation (or one filtered to your interest area)... and how to go about finding & adding a reliable source in order to change that 'citation needed' to a citation added!
The #1Lib1Ref campaign is primarily aimed at librarians contributing to Wikipedia BUT the campaign is open to anyone who wishes to help celebrate Wikipedia's 20th birthday and add a reference (or two) to improve Wikipedia and demonstrate that we are really are not in a post fact world. #FactsMatter
