Consultant in General Medicine, David Boyd, has had a long and varied career. In this clip from a recording made for the 150th anniversary of the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, Mr Boyd talks about his time as a Registrar working in respiratory medicine with Professor (later Sir) John Crofton. John Crofton discovered that treating tuberculosis patients with a combination of drugs coupled with rigorous monitoring could create a 100% cure rate.
