St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room and Music Museum is the home of the University of Edinburgh’s world-famous Musical Instrument Collection.
These videos feature specialist staff discussing aspects of the Collection and how it is maintained. You can also listen to world-class musicians demonstrating some of the Collection, who share their experiences of playing unique historical instruments.
There are also concert performances of different styles of music, showing how the Musical Instrument Collection represents and celebrates cultures from across the world. All of this is presented from Scotland's oldest purpose-built Concert Room in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town.
