This session will be of interest to PhD students in the Colleges of Science and Engineering, and Medicine and Veterinary Medicine who do not want to pursue an academic career, or who would like to consider other options. It will help you to explore a range of careers open to PhD students beyond academia, including careers linked to research, but outside an academic environment, and other common career areas researchers enter. We will share different strategies for coming up with career ideas and the best ways to research careers to determine interest and suitability.
