Content:
Covariance pattern model
- Observations on same patient assumed to have a specific pattern of covariance across a time effect (eg visit)
- Residual covariance matrix, R, ‘blocked’ by patients:
Covariance structures for Ri (4 periods)
Separate covariances for treatment groups
- e.g. First three patients receive A, B, A with measurements at three time points (compound symmetry structures).
Selecting the covariance pattern
- Significance testing
- Measuring model fit
