Created as part of the 'Innovating with Open Knowledge' series. Interview with Lysimachos Zografos at Parker Ltd., a drug discovery company that aims to cure Parkinson's disease.
This case study explores the use of open resources, and especially of using open research resources for commercial use in a scientific context. Parkure Ltd., uses open research resources in their day to day work. Most of the research that they use is accessed through aggregated sources, and some of this will come directly from the University of Edinburgh.
This video (4 of 4) focuses on the benefits that Parkure Ltd. is able to bring to society in general thanks to the use of open research resources, and how they are able to contribute back to the body of knowledge through scientific publications, and also through open source software.
