There are some items that you should ensure you've checked.
0:34
I'm going to share with you some items today that should be at the top of your
checklist.
0:39
Firstly, ensure you are submitting the correct documents.
0:42
It is easy to mix up applications when applying for more than one role.
0:46
Therefore, make sure you've uploaded the correct cover letter and CV.
0:51
If you upload the wrong documents, all your hard work building your application
won't count as your application will be discounted.
1:00
Next, make sure you've read all the instructions on the application.
1:04
Do they want to see a portfolio or is there a specific question being asked?
1:08
It's best to read through the application instructions one more time before
submitting as you don't want to lose out on an opportunity because of a simple
instruction such as don't go over the word limit for employer to campus rules.
1:23
You are required to have at least one reference.
1:25
You will be asked to include the reference on your application.
1:29
For more information on references, please check out the guidance on our
website which you've linked to on the screen.
1:38
Save the job advert and job description before submitting your application.
1:42
Once you have submitted your application, you will no longer have access to
these documents and you will need to refer to them
1:48
if you're invited to interview. You don't want to be sending an e-mail to the
hiring manager asking for access again to these documents, so remember to save
them.
1:59
Finally, do one more proofread before you submit your application.
2:03
You cannot edit your application after you've submitted it, therefore, you
should only submit it once you've done a final proofread and you're happy that
this is your final copy.
