One hand slides under the thorax with your index finger inbetween the forelimbs, ensuring a firm grip keeps the legs together. It is important that this grip doesn't relax at any point during handling as the rabbit will sense this and feel unsupported. The other hand lifts the back end of the rabbit either from the rump (shown) or simply from the side, to lift the body weight. Tuck them up under your arm and grip firmly in to your body. This is a one-armed hold so you will have one arm free to cover the rabbit's eyes or to open a carrier/pen etc. Please note that the whole body of the rabbit should be supported by your arm, and only the back legs should 'dangle' below your arm. Ensure they are not sat on your arm as this gives them a surface they can push off with.
