Title: Hecke action on the principal block of reductive algebraic groups

Abstract: I will explain a joint work with Roman Bezrukavnikov where we show that wall crossing functors define an action of the Hecke category on the principal block of the category of representations of a reductive algebraic group. This fact had been conjectured in a joint work with G. Williamson (and previously proved in type A by other methods); it gives a very concrete incarnation of the idea that "the affine Weyl group controls the category of representations", and has as a consequence character formulas for tilting and simple modules.
