This topic introduces a very basic introduction to the mathematical
definitions of systems, in order to place the signal analysis component
of the course in context. System theory is covered in detail in third
year courses in Engineering. The main focus of this topic is the
mathematical definition of linear systems, and how to test for linearity
of a system. Two examples of testing for linearity is provided in the
last third of this video.
