Meta-analysis is the
secondary analysis of quantitative data from multiple comparable studies, with
the aim of getting a clearer understanding of observable effects. This workshop
will introduce recognising and assessing statistical heterogeneity in
meta-analysis, and use of fixed effects or random effects models.
Dr Niall Anderson is
a senior lecturer in the Usher Institute, Co-director of the MPH and Deputy
Director of the M.Sc. in Epidemiology.
