Presenter: Kelly Fleetwood
This workshop took the format of a journal club discussion.
As we critically appraised the paper, we looked in particular at the quantitative
data presented and the statistical methods used. This practice in critical
appraisal is useful to anyone carrying out reviews based on quantitative
data.
In the discussion, we used the following paper:
van Gassel, R. J. J., et al. (2021). High
prevalence of pulmonary sequelae at 3 months after hospital discharge in
mechanically ventilated survivors of covid-19. American Journal of Respiratory
and Critical Care Medicine, 203(3), 371–374. https://doi.org/10.1164/rccm.202010-3823LE
